Hello! My name is Mimi Brown thank you for stopping by!

As I sat here for a long time trying to figure out what to say in this “about me” section, I came to the conclusion that talking about ME is not something I like to do. I’d rather do just about anything than talk about myself (even dishes and shopping~ I know I am amongst the few women in America that loathes shopping). I like to come alongside of people and help them to see their full potential, show them where they are strong and support them as they strive for and achieve their goals.

I guess that is why I love capturing moments of time with photography, because it’s all about you and who you are. It’s about capturing and showing others your individual beauty, your strength through the good times and sometimes more importantly through the difficult times, your joy through life’s milestones, and love from the first day and as it grows stronger through the years.

My love for photography came from my Grandma Rebecca.  Our home was filled with photographs of family members; many of whom I had never met but felt a connection to after seeing them everyday of childhood and hearing their stories (read more here). When I graduated high school I used every penny to buy my first Nikon camera and a 35mm lens. I loved capturing those moments of my family and friends and then sharing with them photographs that would last a lifetime. Thirty years later I continue to enjoy capturing moments and preserving memories for a lifetime.
